Deploy Your First Vultr Cloud Compute Instance

What you will build

A small web server on Vultr Cloud Compute that serves a page with your own content.

Starting point: you only need a Vultr account. This challenge is self-contained, so you can do it without having done any other.

Steps

1. Add an SSH public key to your Vultr account
2. Deploy an Ubuntu 24.04 Cloud Compute instance with that key
3. SSH in and install Nginx
4. Replace the default page with your own HTML
5. Open the public IP in your browser

ssh root@YOUR_INSTANCE_IP
apt update && apt install -y nginx

Destroy the instance when you are done so you are not billed for it.
